JESUS WILL BE BORN in BETHLEHEM
Micah 5 : 2 (Old Testament Prophecy)
Eternal One: But you, Bethlehem of Ephrathah, of the clans of Judah, are no poor relation— From your people will come a Ruler who will be the shepherd of My people, Israel, Whose origins date back to the distant past, to the ancient days. (Fulfilled in Jesus) Matthew 2:
Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, in the province of Judea, at the time when King Herod reigned.

Bethlehem, the birthplace of King David, would not have sur prised Micah's listeners as the place where
the Ruler would be born; but centuries later when the prophecy is fulfilled, Bethle hem is only a community of several dozen families. God ful filled His promise that Bethlehem would be the birthplace of the shepherd of His people.

Oh, Father, thank You for Your Word and for revealing long before it happened that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem. My faith is strengthened through this revelation. Encourage my heart today because You know the end from the beginning, and I trust You with every detail of my life. |
